Twelve teams will participate in the 2009-2010 season of the Cayman Islands Football Association (CIFA) Fosters First Division Football League when the competition gets underway on Saturday, 24 October.

At the TE McField Sports Centre in George Town, East End meets North Side at 5:00pm and at 7:00pm Latinos face Sunset B.

At the Ed Bush Stadium in West Bay, Prospect United meets Future B at 5:00pm and at 7:00pm Cayman Athletics Sports Club will tackle George Town B.

The twelve teams are East End, North Side, Academy, Future B, Cayman Athletics Sports Club, George Town B, Latinos, Scholars International B, Prospect United, Elite B, Roma B and Sunset B.

These teams will be participating for a place at the prestigious Premier League level next season.

Last Season it was Bodden Town who took the league by storm, topping the tables and securing their place in the Premier League.

Most of the teams played well last season; however the teams that created most of the stir last season were North Side and Academy.

With Latinos in the race this season, it is my guess that the race will be tough as Latinos is expected to be doing all that is possible to return to the big league next season.
