Curfew Continues
The curfew has been extended once again throughout the island of Grand Cayman
from Saturday, 9 October 2004 to Thursday, 14 October and remains between the
hours of 10:00 pm and 5:00am each day.
Passports
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) has recovered three Caymanian
Passports belonging to Laurel Burton, Lurline Stewart and Joahvon Timothy
Myles.
The passport owners can collect their property from the police station at
the Cable and Wireless Building at One Technology Square on Eastern Avenue
between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.
Cayman Islands Shipping Registry
The Cayman Islands Shipping Registry is operating from 7:30 am to 1 pm until
Friday 15 October. Normal work hours of 8:30 am to 5 pm will resume on Monday
18 October. All inquiries please call 949-8831.
Seven Mile Beach Mail Pick-up at APO
As of Monday 11 October, customers with Seven Mile Beach postal boxes are
asked to begin retrieving their mail at the Airport Post Office. Due to
extensive damage caused by Hurricane Ivan the Seven Mile Beach location will
be closed until further notice.
Seven Mile Beach customers will have a dedicated counter at the Airport
Post Office to help them retrieve their mail quicker and ample parking is
available for added convenience. Hours of operation at the Airport Post Office
are from 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and all regular postal services are
available.
Emergency Care
The Chrissie Tomlinson Memorial Hospital has implemented a new health service
to address the increasing number of accidents and injuries following Hurricane
Ivan.
The Urgent Care and Injury Centre is open 24 hours a day, and aims to
provide quick assessment and treatment of injuries. The Urgent Care and Injury
Centre opened 8th October. Cuts, burns, fractures and other injuries will be
are assessed immediately by a nurse and then seen by a doctor.
